HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

How did you do in this year’s Christmas? I ate two cakes!! Today, I introduce this book. The title is “HAPPY CHRISTMAS!” Many Christmas’ things are introduced, for example, how to make a Yule Log! This book is written that “The ‘Yule Log’ is a large piece of wood which people in Northern Europe put on their fires at Christmas time. It is usually burned on Christmas Eve. But sometimes the 'log’ is a chocolate cake shaped like a log.” And I didn’t know the word ‘carol’ means ‘a singing dance’. We often use a word ‘Christmas Carols’ in Christmas season. I could know this word meaning! I want to read this book, and I want to enjoy next year’s Christmas for many people!

Why are you interested in English?

I’m interested in English because I want to be Japanese teacher for foreigners. So I must study English. The cause of the dream is an exchange student from Australia. When I was high school student, she came to our class. We talk many things every day. But at first, she didn’t understand any Japanese words, so I taught meaning of words. However, I didn’t teach well, I think that if I learn English more and more, I teach many things for many people. And, my dream might come true. For the reason, I study English in KGU.  I keep studying English!

Romeo and Juliet

“Oh Romeo, Romeo － why are you called Romeo? Say that you aren’t your father’s son. Say that Montague isn’t your name. Or if you don’t want to do that, promise to be my love. And I won’t be a Capulet any longer.” This is very famous words of Romeo and Juliet. Once at least, everyone heard this word. This story was written by Shakespeare. The import of this story, Montague’s son Romeo and Capulet’s daughter Juliet’s a tragic love story. Their families are hate each other, and Romeo and Juliet are caught up in a struggle. The end of this story is very sad. I want you read this story!

Alice in Wonderland

             "There was a tree in front of the house. Under the tree was a big table with a lot of chairs round it. But there were only three at the table: the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and a large brown mouse.” This is a scene of “Alice in Wonderland”. This is very famous story! I like this story because it makes me excited and this story’s strange atmosphere is very interesting. Few years ago, this story was made a live-action movie with Johnny Depp in the main role. Though I like a live-action movie but I like the original better than it. Alice, this story’s protagonist is very cute!!! I really want you to read this story.

How to keep myself fit

        Though I usually keep myself fit sometimes I can’t get to sleep. My recipe for my good health is “to eat breakfast everyday”. To eat breakfast makes me awake. It was hard for me to eat it but I can eat properly now. I think that continuity is the faster of success. Another recipe is “to have a long bath”. I sink into a hot bath and I ease the stiffness with a massage. In that way, I can relieve my fatigue and I feel refreshed very much. So I want you to try it. I want to be a healthy body with you.

Australia!

       I want to go to Australia because my Australian friend taught Australia has many good points. The country has a population of about 21,293,000. Australia is bigger than Japan. Australia has many kinds of animals. Above all, kangaroos and koalas are very famous but I want to see Tasmanian devils. Tasmanian devils are rare animals. There are smaller than kangaroos. Aussie football, rugby, and cricket are very popular sports in Australia. I have never watched them before. Especially, I want to watch a game of cricket because it is difficult for me to watch it. So If I go to Australia, I watch a game of it absoluteness more than others.

Kumamoto City

        

Kumamoto City is special to me because I was born in this city. This city has population of 728,332 as of April 1^st, 2010. A city flower is Higo　tsubaki and a city tree is ginkgo by the way, a city bird is a great tit. This city is very beautiful. There’s a lot of green around here. This city has much groundwater. Groundwater’s taste is delicious. We always use groundwater in everyday life. Kumamoto Castle is famous building in Kumamoto city. Ginnan Castle is another name for Kumamoto Castle. Recently, Jousaien was built. There is a tourist facility. Many local specialties are sold in that　place. Wakuwakuza is interesting place because we can learn about history of Kumamoto by a top-of-the-line virtual-reality.
